Tagaytay trip with my best friends! We spent the day at an amusement park, then bought fresh fruits and plants at a nearby market. ♥️ #lomo400 #olympusom10 #lomography400 #iso400 #lomochrome #olympus

  • Polish Church

Samara also got Polish (that's literally on the door) Neogothic Church. Generally Volaga region has Polish everything, if to dig deeper. Russia and Poland had tons of wars in 17 century, therefore it was a weird mix of sending Polish war prisoners to Volga as well as Polish nobility, which would accept Russian side, would go there as well (willingly or not- I have no sources to answer). Another wave of Polish emigration to Volga, was during the first world war, when Germany occupied Baltic region- 27 thousand Poles were evacuated to this area. Samara had 6 polish schools and one "workers club" which lasted until 1937- Stalin didn't like it. Same goes for the church which was built by 1906 on polish community cash and present until today.
