   @crosschannel I love the sound of the gurgle as it passes. Also heard in later P-51 Mustangs, Mosquitos.

   If anyone has the chance to go to Goodwood - they do fly from there regularly and the weird thing in 2018 is that I am used to Spitfire sounds as the sky above our area is their natural habitat ;-)

    My father flew a Spitfire for the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was based in the UK. He took shrapnel in the grown, but it missed the boys, lucky me and popped an eye drum.
