    Идея проекта была простая: я делал автопортреты, строго по одной фотографии в день в течение года — такой своеобразный дневник. Сама идея появилась в 1990 году. До этого я много фотографировал — может быть, каждый день, всегда носил с собой камеру, однако эти съемки были какие-то непонятные — в том плане, что они не были никак структурированы. И вот захотелось уже серьезных, продуманных проектов. Я посчитал, что здорово было бы придумать некий концепт, в который попадало бы абсолютно все, что ты снимаешь — причем в идеале снимаешь ежедневно.

    Got to go on a catamaran on my weekend at the Big Island! I saw a whole bunch of whales (one swam right by the boat! But I missed it...), big manta rays, and swam with dolphins! Unfortunately, it wasn't quite bright enough for 200, so a whole bunch of my photos are a smidge blurry :(

My grandparents live there and since I am a little child, I go every year in summer for a week or more to Knokke to see my grandparents and spent a good time at the beach.
