There are times when a photo can't quite capture the true atmosphere of an event but then there are other times when it comes mighty close! Like this sunset over Perros Guirec in France which had us spellbound throughout the whole jaw-dropping spectacle.
Early evening in Mawgan Porth where it felt like you had the whole beach practically to yourself. Just a few other people walking about, maybe they too were appreciating the big sky and dynamic view.
A rare glimpse of morning sunshine was extremely welcome, coming as it did between endless days of cloud and rain. I love it when the sun turns everything this colour, even making the normally black asphalt look like golden nuggets.
I dropped my LC-A and as it hit the ground the back popped right open. Damn! Thinking it was broken I managed to rewind what was left of the film and send it to the lab where they developed half the roll. When I got the negs back I found that 2 or 3 of the images weren't developed because the lab probably thought they were ruined thanks to all the light leaks. So I scanned them myself and this is what came out.
I tend to upload my shots in a pretty random way, not usually in any chronological order. So that's why this is a Summer shot posted in the middle of Winter. Besides that, it reminds me of an amazing time on the Greek island of Santorini and helps to keep me warm when the British weather is so bad.
Out of all the shots on a roll of Elite Chrome that came out blue, this is the one that I didn't bother tweaking or re-scanning. Preferred it just the way it was when it came back from the lab.
Elite Chrome tends to give people an aura but in this case things went a bit mad making this guy look like he's straight out of those old adverts for Ready Brek.
