The Monster Lives...

...or Plastic Surgery Disasters? You decide... OK, so I took two Sprocket Rockets and loaded them with different films. Then I used a tripod and went around to all my favorite spots over the past month collecting two identical shots from each spot. Then I overlapped the negatives as close as I could and then cut through both negatives at the same time using decorative pinking shears from a crafts store. Then I recombined each half with the other film type and then scanned them. Pretty fun but a LOT of work. :D

Thank you! Yes, exactly, I lugged a tripod around with me and both cameras at the same time. I thought these street scenes were interesting because the cars would be moving but the buildings would stay the same in the splice. Most of the scenes I chose were static landscapes but maybe I'll try this again sometime with people.

Haha, the black and white part looks like taken in the sixties and the color part looks like nowadays, it's like time travelling!!!
