The Winch Man

The Blue Hills hill climb is part of the annual London to Lands End trial . A test for man and machine , it requires the driver /rider to negotiate a very narrow , rough , track up the side of a steep cliff with a sharp hairpin bend at the end . The event is nearly 100 years old and attracts hundreds of competitors of all ages . I took these shots with expired tri -x metered at 200iso and developed in rodinal 1+50 for 14mins .
