An hour's walk on a sunny afternoon in locked-down Britain gave me the opportunity to put another roll of film through my Bronica ETRS. Some of these are duplicates of the same negative but with different settings on the scanner. I learning that colour is tricky!

Yes, I can scan with two different scanners and get different colors. Frustrating. Also changing the orientation of the negative on the flatbed scanner can yield different results just from the workings of the scanner. If you get color or usually yellow bleed over at the sprockets, like a bromide drag, sometimes that is actually a scanner artifact and turning the negative 90 degrees often fixes it. There is as much or more to scanning as there is to wet printing. Just a totally different art.
