Christmas/New Year's Eve 2011 (I missed the New Year's countdown because I was busy working on this lift, haha): Damn you Polaroid peel apart that wouldn't really stick to the watercolour paper, damn you!!!

It all seemed so easy in the beginning- far too easy. I had no troubles whatsoever peeling the different layers apart and it all seemed to stick at first- but when the watercolour paper started drying the whole thing started to crack and I spent 3 DAYS (!!!) repeating the whole process over and over again just to save as much of the shot as I could (I tried another peel-apart with a different polaroid but the second stuck even less to the paper, so there's no use uploading the second wasted Polaroid). I'm keeping this one as a proof of my all-enduring patience ;)

Update: Unfortunately, the picture started to crack even more due to the scan and after having redone it a millions of time (sort of), the edges started rolling up. I tried to save it by using spraying adhesive but it was too late and I couldn't save it. At least I have the scan left, although the touch of the original was really lovely due the watercolour paper :(

@oliviermenard: Thanks for your comment, and yes, I agree, that's part of chemistry's appeal (whis is why I develop all my films myself as well). Also, I used expired Polaroid TZ Artistic film, that's why it looks so vintage :)

Polaroid said that TZ Artistic film wasn't suited for emulsion transfers but was designed for manipulation, but you proved them wrong. The Impossible Projects films are much easier to do transfers with and stick really well to the paper.

@kdstevens: Well, not really unfortunately- the edges started rolling up today and I doubt I can save much of the shot (at least I was able to scan it in time). I will using spray adhesive next time I do emulsion lift with TZ Artistic...

I never really liked the Polaroid Artistic TZ film, it didn't live up to its ability for emulsion manipulation either! (I tried it, and the effect wasn't very good compared to the images I've seend of the old SX70 manipulation film.)
