Diana Baby 110: Ready to Shoot, From Pocket to Palm

2

What is your idea of a compact camera? Most likely you'll answer a point-and-shoot, while someone else might say an instant camera or a single-use. But I think in general, we can all agree that a 110 camera is pretty compact, eh? It's just that ... well, it's not what immediately comes to mind when we're talking about compacts. Because the format—while available—isn't as widely common as a 35 mm point-and-shoot, the tiny 110 camera is merely an afterthought.

Here at Lomography, our Fisheye Baby and Diana Baby 110 cameras are stars in their own right. Whatever film their 35 mm and 120 counterparts are having, the palm-sized and pocketable Baby 110s get their fill, too. From black and white to color negative, redscale to experimental LomoChromes, shooting in 110 is easy and fun. Here, we highlight some Diana Baby 110 photos, taken by Lomographers!

Lo-fi Love

The Diana family is known for a dreamy lo-fi aesthetic which could mean anything from soft and hazy to gritty and grainy. The overall look will depend on lighting conditions and the film you pair it with. In this case, @oukrid used a slide film and had it cross-processed.

Sun-kissed Vibes

This photo set by @lalomixu channels vintage memories of '60s to '70s. We can't stress this enough: the Diana family loves light, and the Baby 110 even more so, without access to flash. For great results just like these photos, prepare to bathe in sunshine!

Muted and Multiple-Exposed

Paired with the LomoChrome Metropolis, these Diana Baby 110 snaps by @mcmanus83 evokes washed-out and somewhat surreal scenes.
