Homebody 5

Hey everyone! I am back on Lomo sporadically, after moving all the way from my beloved Chicago to the wild unknown of Los Angeles. I sometimes feel like a stranger in a strange land here, but there are nice parts about it, and I'm determined to make the most of it while I'm here. One nice thing is that the constant smog and horrible air pollution make for very vivid sunsets. ^__^

That is a way to see the positive in smog. The first Europeans to the Los Angeles basin noted the colored air as well. Probably the inversion didn't burn off so natural fires, maybe indigenous people's controlled fires accumulated into the basin air. In your west coast move you loose a lot of mosquitoes, cold("let's leave Chicago to the Eskimos" Randy Newman, "I love L.A.") and humidity but gain lots of heat-at least it's a dry heat lol. Oh yeah, you just missed a substantial regional earthquake. Welcome to southern California.
