At 44 m, it towers above all the roofs of the motorcycle town of Zschopau. After 144 steps, there is a beautiful view over the Zschopau valley. In the Middle Ages, it guarded the ford over the Zschopau. Jackdaws and kestrels now value it and the castle as a nesting place.
