I tried lomography around 2008 when I was still in college. I stopped because of my studies and it was sucking out the money i have that is supposed to be elsewhere. Nevertheless, I'm back!
The Victorian lifeboat house stands defiant against all the Atlantic Ocean can throw at it. Winter storm February 2025. Lith print on Bromesko, Ilford hp5, expired and pushed a stop or two and developed in neat paper developer.
This photo was taken with expired Kodak E100VS slide film (expired in 2012), which I found at a secondhand camera shop in Sapporo. To add to the challenge, the camera I used suddenly started acting up—it struggled to advance the film properly, and the light meter was inconsistent. When I received the email notification from the lab nearly a month after sending the film in, my heart was racing. I’m so grateful that some shots turned out—especially this one of the Twelve Apostles in the morning light. No matter how many times I look at it, I never get tired of it.
Found out the ol' gang was hitting the lake the next morning... and I was 600 miles away. So I threw a bunch of cameras in the car and started the 14 hour drive around 5pm. I got there the next morning, 20 minutes before they dropped the boat in the water. Holy hell that was a long night of driving. Of course, shooting with the g617 on a wobbly boat, trying to guess the focal distance... quite a challenge. Honestly I missed countless incredible shots and the ones I got are all out of focus. I decided to try my first attempt at hand developing with TMAX chemistry and was excited to see the roll come out fine. Pretty good for my first roll!
