Autonomy

This was shot during the very first time we took a real walk with our daughter. While she had been walking for some time, we hadn't, until that point, let her roam the streets of Toulouse. She was so excited she practically ran the whole way. This photo, very candid, turned out to perfectly distill the moment for me—my wife watching our daughter as she exercised her new level of autonomy.
