I think it demonstrates the power of the scene / nature. The scene isn't over powered by the grain. I looked at just the people blown up. It is an interesting portrait. Again if details were critical it wouldn't work but the grain keeps the focus on the larger scene. I think if you did a 5x7 print of just the figures and put it on the coffee table you'd have endless conversation. Lol.

@mike1allison I shot this early days, didn't really know what I was doing. I want to shoot the camera again, I'm sure I can do a better job, the camera doesn't seem to have much wrong with it other than a tendency to chew sprockets.

@charliedontsurf I had that problem with some russian cameras. Those cameras are just lens carriers to me and often not worth the actual physical pain. But the Contaflex is a pretty nice piece of machinery - AND a lens horse....

@mike1allison me too, the zenits and the feds are awesome looking pieces of kit and are always so tempting to buy but every one I've taken a chance on has broken my heart.

@charliedontsurf that contaflex is a beast btw. Weighs a ton, a film chewer like I said, stiff focusing, a cloudy viewfinder. Not a pleasant business at all but I'm going to have to give her a bash again one day soon, just for closure.lol.!
