When boredom comes along, you must Flip It. Your camera, I mean! The results: lovely reflection-like images that look like a parallel universe.
Before I launch into the complexity of this exercise, I have to warn you that this requires advanced skills in shutter-pressing, for it doesn’t only involve your index finger, but your thumb as well! Am I kidding, you ask? Of course I am! This has to be one of the easiest Tipsters ever, but I’m sharing it step-by-step anyway.
• Snap a photo of your Lomographic desire
• Click the MX button if your preferred camera has one. In my case, I worked with Dimitry, my LC-A+.
• Flip your camera upside-down on a full 180º angle. Using your thumb, press the shutter to snap your second exposure. Ta-daa!
For variations, you don’t have to fully flip your camera by 180º all the time, you can flip it any way you like.
So go flex those thumbs or stand on your head if you must. Any method is sure to be fun. I say Flip It. Flip it Good!
