Desde el nacimiento de Portugal como país, las relaciones entre Galicia y Portugal fueron frecuentes. Desde la invasión musulmana de la península Ibérica, Galicia y Portugal compartieron mucha historia juntas. Su nobleza, personas, culturas, … el propio idioma portugués, nació, al igual que el gallego desde el latín, y en la Edad Media, eran uno sólo.

S. Bento Station was inaugurated in 1916, and it was design by the famous architect José Marques da Silva. Before this train station was build there was a Benedictine monastery named São Bento de Avé-Maria. The Monastery was destroyed and then was constructed in the beginning of the XX century the station but the name remains “S.bento”.

Puedes elegir entre el camino francés, portugués, la ruta de la costa, la vía de la plata, la ruta de la lana, la del mar... poco importa el punto de partida ya que todos los caminos terminan en el mismo lugar: La Catedral.

El río Tamuxe, también conocido como Carballas, es un afluente del río Miño en su tramo final (el último de la fila … por parte española), a pocos kilómetros de su desembocadura en el Océano Atlántico. Nace en el Concello (Ayuntamiento) de Oia, en su vertiente en el Valle de O Rosal y desemboca en Pías, San Miguel de Tabagón, en el propio Concello de O Rosal.
