i have seen her singing twice. once with rusty man and once with portishead. i really like portishead and her album with rusty man is not that good. anyway when playing live with rusty man something happened what i have never seen before and maybe never will again: beth sang the lyrics and then during the song suddenly just one single tone. she turned so she was standing one stage with her back to the audience and you could still hear the tone constantly. suddenly she turned round and put down the microphone but the tone was still there. it was then everyone realized that the saxophone player was now playing but no one heard a break. that was so amazing.
