I've finally bought a Vilia
Vilia is the camera that took first shots of me, it is also my first camera on which I shot my first film roll back in 2005. Unfortunately, that exact Vilia suffers from problems with its body being slightly broken, so after a long time I've just bought myself a new one (fixing the old one is still under consideration, maybe I'll do it eventually). @katanga hello :)
Vilia is a great camera, simple to use with almost always nice results. It and a Lubitel 166b were the cameras used for my dad to taken my first pics as early as the hospital maternity and probably the one I shoted my first frames (or could have being my aunt's Smena no one remember 😁). Unfortunately the lubitel was lost in time so I'm planning the same than you, buy a new one to try 120 mm and for the old times sake.
@katanga I was actually surprised with how easy to use it is. I thought I will always miss focusing distance with it being just a viewfinder camera, but no, it was fairly easy with its depth of field being almost infinite. All other controls are also pretty comfortable. Really nice camera.
@katanga talking about Lyubitel, it's also a big one for me, Lyubitel 2 brought me back to analog photography after many years :D By the way, if you will be having troubles with getting Lyubitel 166b, ping me, and maybe we'll figure something out, because I've seen a lot of those cameras on sale here.
@plazmotron Issue with mine is that the parallax lines in the viewfinder becomes blurry on time and I some times I get some pictures out of frame. Thanks about the Lyubitel, I found some in ebay if I not have luck with the delivery I will text you.
